On the way to taking Zinah back to see her father, we made our way to Magnolia for a little shopping. Zinah does amature pinup modeling for a hobby. So we couldn't possibly think of a better place to take her than The Pinup Store. Of all the times we visit they were closed getting ready for their anniversary show! Ugh, we were beyond disappointed. Fortunately, Magnolia Blvd is famous for having some of the coolest shops around, so we visited Dark Delicacies.
Dark Delicacies is a specialty horror shop. Where I'm not a huge horror
fan, I am a fan of the macabre, Zinah is a fan of both genres. I never
get tired of walking into this store because it's so elegant and
beautifully done. It just takes you breath away and kind of acts as this
place between eerie and elegant.
This time around Zinah and I were drawn to the Ars Draconis collection, a line of scents completely inspired by Dragon's. I was impressed to have found some new favorites myself. As a late birthday gift, I got Zinah a bottle of Dragon Heart. It smelled like a mix of amber, red fruits, and incense.
I stole away with some Imp Ears (samples) myself. My first pick was Dove Heart, mostly a heady blend of lavender and other soothing notes. Then I discovered Dragon's Tears, an interesting mix of amber and incense with top aquatic notes. Both are said to be powerful in healing meditations. Seems like I was drawn to them. I think they say plenty about the last couple of months.
